What I've been up to lately #28 (may recap)

For some reason all the photos I downloaded to my laptop are blurry but they're not blurry on my phone so I don't understand what went wrong lol BUT we started the month with almost a week in England

My nanny's garden always looks lovely in the spring / summer because of all the plants she grows

Watched many sunsets in the garden while we were there 

Got ready with my sister for another concert

We went to see Louis Tomlinson in Brighton with my sister, my nanny and my aunt. It was very fun!!!

The day after the concert we decided to go to the beach as it was nice weather. My sister and I were looking for cool rocks and my nanny was looking for sea glass. We all found what we wanted!

The day after that was Jack in the Green in Hastings so we went there

We also went to the RNLI station and they had tea and cakes (that you could have as much as you wanted as long as you gave a donation), so we all stuffed our faces lol 

Came home and went to the shop that sells loads of random stuff and I found terryaki beef jerky which was lovely, I would have bought more if I knew it would be this nice!

Started playing around with makeup more just for the fun of it

Found my favourite instant noodles in the shop, I used to eat these all the time when I lived in Lille because there was an Asian supermarket in my street that I went to all the time

My mum's school organized a cabaret night (it wasn't really cabaret) and we had to walk home just as the sun was setting which was quite nice

Made fajitas and also made my favourite meal of the moment (goat cheese and bacon gnocchi). We've been eating a lot of those lately because my brother likes it and it's very quick to make

Sent a parcel to my Canadian friend, full of french snacks which took less than a week to arrive to her place and that surprised me because I was expecting it to take way longer than that

Had to change my cgm and that pretty cover only lasted a day before I had to cover it up because it was coming off which was a shame

Practiced my makeup for an exciting concert that was coming up....... 

Did a lot of reading in the sun this month as the weather has been so lovely

Had to wear my second par of glasses for a while as mine broke for some reason

It's been so hot we've not been cooking proper meals a lot, most of our dinners have been looking like this

Got my glasses back from the shop after only a couple of days 

Ate poutine!!!! Which I haven't had since I left Lille so that was lovely

Went to sleep at my sister's flat in Lille and saw their cat 

Bought overpriced water on the train to Amsterdam.. We made it, for a very special reason!!!

Here's a clue....

Got ready for the concert and did the makeup I'd been practicing over the last week!

Little hint as to which concert we went to!!

We went to see Harry Styles!!!!!!! Dare I say, one of, if not The best concert we've ever been to!!!!! It was so much fun!!!!

We stayed in a really lovely hostel just a 10mn walk away from the venue which was perfect!!

Saw the sunset on the bus on the way back from Amsterdam

Ate Chineese as mum got home late from a school trip to England

And then may was over, now onto June with just as many fun adventures!!

What I've been up to lately #27 (april recap)

Mum and I went for many ice creams at the fast food restaurant that's a 5mn walk away from our house which was lovely

I did my makeup many times (not everyday but when I had the motivation)

Went to subway many times too (it's become my number one favourite takeaway)

Spent many hours reading on the balcony

Spent a few hours at my sister's glat so I hung out with her cat

Did my makeup for a very special occassion, we went to a concert !!!

I of course went with my sister 

We went to see Alex Warren!!!

We were both hungry after the concert and there was a five guys next to our hotel so I got a hot dog and my sister got a milkshake!

The next day, our train wasn't until mid afternoon so we had time to go to the biggest English bookshop in Paris (or France I can't remember) and bought a couple books and then we were having a picnic at the tuileries gardens which were 5mn away from the bookshop and I saw a post they'd put up 2mn before saying they'd just received and put out on the shelves, the new harry styles magazine cover so I of course had to go back and buy a copy!! 

Me and my sister had a picnic and I had a vegan sandwhich (I'm trying to eat a loss less meat and to go vegetarian) and it was even better than I could have imagined. I'd heard a lot about la vie and they even have a burger restaurant in lille but I've never had the chance to try it. The sandwich was so nice I'm dreaming of the next time I'll get to eat it!!! Hopefully on our next trip to Paris (which is very soon)

We saw lots of ducks at the park and we saw two ducks that kept going in one of the bushes so we had a peak and there were loads of baby ducks and even some eggs that hadn't hatched yet!

Got home just as the sun was setting

We went to see my mum's friend who she gives all her books to when she's finished reading them and she gave us some moroccan cakes (her husband is moroccan) that they'd received for ramadan!! they were really nice, and every time we go to their house they make grilled almonds which I always eat loads of!

Bought some nex shoes on vinted and I love them

Did a too good to go in a supermarket we never go to because it's in a town next to Dunkirk that we never go to unless we're visiting my mum's friend so we had a look at what they had in the shop. They had these pancake crisps - I know the brand because we always get their different favours of crisps (they do 'weird' flavours like, pesto and mozzarella or carbonara or aioli or tartiflette or anything you could think of) but these are new so we gave them a try and they were delicious!! They tasted of the strawberry pancakes my dad used to get us when we were kids so would definitely recommend. I also bought more la vie products that I can't wait to try!!!

We had another concert in paris, we went to see sleeping at last in a tiny venue we'd never been to, I would say we had fun but it was sad music so it was nice but not fun ahah!!!

We did a bit of exploring before the concert, we went to see the house from the series the summer I turned pretty (it was up a long steep hill I was out of breath by the time we got there lol). Our hotel was 5mn away from Montmatre so we went to a little café and had a drink and a snack because it was really hot!
