We spent Sunday getting the house all ready for Christmas (it’s never too early!)
Bought some graphic novels (I've already finished one of them in parallel to the book I'm currently reading)
Saw many pretty sunsets
Saw the Christmas market being installed in Dunkirk (it opened yesterday)
Mum made boeuf bourgignon which was very very nice
Re discovered the joy of reading at the library in Dunkirk. I used to go there all the time when I was in high school because it's less than 5 minutes away. I hadn't been there in years but I spent the entire afternoon there twice in 2 days and did a lot of progress on my books. There used to be a café in the library but it shut I think because of covid (I imagine) but they've opened up again and I had a lovely coffee, many hot chocolates and even a salted caramel pancake. Also the prices are really good, I paid 3,20€ for a coffee with oat milk, 4€ for a pancake and 3,50€ for a hot chocolate with oat milk which I think is reasonable.
Renewed my library card which meant I got to borrow many books. I found loads of queer graphic novels to borrow. I also read "not a new york love strory" which sounded good but it was a bit boring even though the theme of the book was good.
On Saturday we had a bit of a chaotic day but we ended the day by going to the Christmas market.
Our favourite stall was there again so we bought lots of mini dried sausages. My favourite is parmesan covered dried sausage! We ate a few and went back to exploring the market to see what else we could taste lol!!
In Lille, the speciality of the Christmas market is pretzels so I was hoping we'd find something similar in Dunkirk. We didn't find the same ones as in Lille but we found something equally as nice, tartiflette (reblochon) cheese and dried onions! Mum and I both had one and they were lovely!
We then went back to exploring the market and came accross a giant Labubu lol!!!!!
We left the Christmas market because we were hoping to get a Too Good To Go bag like we usually do on Satudays but none of them were available so we had a wander around town
Next week will also be very chaotic, but hopefully we find little moments of joy amidst the chaos! :/

The Christmas market was cool and there was a good atmosphere in town. All the lovely festive nibbles was a bonus :) Glad you've found your way back to the library. I'm sure the new glasses help ! The house always feels extra warm and cosy with the decorations up. Sad when they all come down again though ! xx
