We finished last week by going to the book shop in town and I grabbed a couple of books and I needed advice about my film camera so we also popped into the photography shop.
On Tuesday, my French family came to visit us in Dunkirk so we went for a walk at the beach. The weather was quite nice, it wasn't too cold or too windy. We walked on the other end of the beach which we don't usually go to but they have really pretty houses down the other end so it was nice to see them again. We ended the day by going to the bar for a drink all together
Then to cheer ourselves, up we went to the Chinese all you can eat buffet. It was lovely to catch up with my godmother and my cousin because the last time I saw them was just after died so 8 years ago.
We then spent the afternoon wandering around town and ended up in a café / bar for a drink all together again. We ended up seeing the mayor of Dunkirk while we were there because the bar owner was receiving a prize! I also found a couple of bits for my junk journal at the shop opposite the bar which was exciting.
We finished the day by going to a baked potato restaurant even though we were still all stuffed from lunch lol. They were HUGE!!!!! And it came with a desert too! I've been there in the past but so long ago I have no memory of it but it was so nice I'm looking forward to going there again lol!
Then the most exciting part of the week crept upon us... we were on our way back to England for a week! We were meant to get the ferry but ended up getting the Euro-tunnel because of the storm!
We arrived back in Hastings just as the sunset happened
On our first full day there we decided to go to the old town and the shopping centre which was fun. The weather was lovely and we went to 3 different book shops so I bought loads of books because books in England are a third of the price of English books in France so we always stock up when we're over!!
The plan for today is to go back to town to visit all the charity shops and see what books they have!! We stumbled upon a charity shop we'd never been to last time we were over and all their books were £1 so me and mum are excited to go back there!

It's certainly been a busy week ! I'm looking forward to hunting for more books. You can never have too many !
